Wind moves the World

Idaho snow storms are much different than any Utah storm. The snow sometimes falls but most often flies sideways! Last week we experienced more snow days due to blowing and drifting snow across the roads. This picture is our neighbors driveway (between the green post on the left and the fence on the right). No 4-wheeler can move these wind driven piles. Matt used a backhoe from work to clear everyone's driveways. The neighbors kept calling asking for help when they saw his backhoe in the yard. It took him two days to get everyone back to normal.
The other picture is looking east at our garden spot and the pile of snow just from the driveway and the west with the piles of snow from the rest of the driveway and the piles of snow the snowplows covered our mailbox with! That didn't go over well with Matt.

Yes snow can be a pain, but isn't it beautiful. I forgot how much I missed it!!!
